I just took an alpha-numeric data entry-prove-it-test, scored 11,021 keystrokes per hour. Is that decent?

most jobs are only looking for about 35 wpm so at 67 wpm you are doing very well. Don't worry about your speed. Focus on your accuracy now. good luck

Jet black hair. I have actually dark brown hair and I think dark hair looks better. I don't really like blonde hair.

In typing a word is considered 5 strokes so if you are doing 47 wpm that is 47 x 5= 235 strokes x 60 minutes in an hour = 14100 strokes per hour.

If you don't capitalize when you are to capitalize, you will have an error.

Yes. Most jobs ask for at least 8,000 kph and 50 wpm.
So you're already ahead of the pack.
I also work in data entry and alternate between alpha-numeric and just the 10-key pad; depends what I'm working on.
For alpha-numeric we go by documents processed in an hour. 80 is average, 90-100 is excellent.
10-key, the minimum is 8,000/kph but we definitely get more than that.
We've had people in the 20,000 range. That's fast! ; P
So far I've topped out at a lil' over 12,000.
Good luck!

Just looking for a temp clerical job before my teaching job in August starts. A personnel agency sent me five prove-it tests. I got a 11,021 key strokes per hour score on the alpha-numeric data entry test and a 67 wpm on the typing (3 minute test). Is that decent?

Yes. That's above the requirements we have at my job for typists, but as well as speed, you need to have good accuracy. Good luck!!
