does anyone know some good websites that have examples of the tests you might get in a job interview? I'm wondering what I might get asked like "here's a page of script - now format it into an agenda and then into minutes with action points" or something like that you know what I mean...! or does anyone have examples of things they've been asked do in job interviews (spelling tests or stuff on the PC)?? thanks if you can help!!

I once was asked to retype something. I actually found a typo in it & stopped to ask if they wanted me to type it exactly the way it was with the type or were they looking for me to correct it. At the same interview I was give a sheet of words to review and find the misspelled words.

I like to give a some type of test with Exel. I'll give the applicant 3 or 4 reciepts and I'll ask them to create an expense report. The only thing I'm looking for is if they use formulas to add the reciepts or if they are just typing in the total.

But for the most important "test" I look at is the resume. When I hire and Admin Asst, I want to see a perfect resume. No misspelled words. Sentances written following English rules. I don't like slang. This shows me the person knows how to type, spell and speaks well. Also during the interview, I listen to the way the person is talking and carries themself. I'm also trying to determin if the person will interact with me well & I with them.

At my current position, my would-be boss asked me to do something on the computer as a way of getting to see how well my computer skills were.

I went beyond what he expected. I was hired on the spot. He is the only interviewer who asked me to show my skills.

Every interview is different, what you need to do is get to know the company, go to their website and get to know them, what do they do, what do they stand for and then on the day of you will be more prepared.

All the best.

It is not possible for anyone to answer this question since you do not state what type of a position it is.
