I wrote a thank-you letter out to the two people who interviewed me for a position.

I forgot to sign one of them! I know for sure I signed the one that went to the supervisor of the position. But, the second one, I forgot to sign that went to the HR lady!

Is this horrible? It has my name typed below the line, so it's not just blank. I feel like a fool! But, it's in the mailbox now, so............

your thoughts? will this hurt me? I think I was very organized at the interview and I mailed the letter within 2 hours after the interview.

Don't worry about not signing one of the notes. What you want to focus on is what you need to do to follow up with them about a decision. If they didn't give you a specific answer as to when they may contact you, you might want to review your interview and see if there is any reason you might find to call them with follow up information. It could be something as simple as providing a specific reference who can collaborate your experience. I hope this helps and you get a job offer. Good luck

since it's already mailed, there's nothing you can do so stop worrying about it. The fact that you even bothered to send a thank you note puts you ahead of 98% of the other applicants who didn't bother. It would have been nice to sign it, but what's done is done. If you're right for the job, it won't have any affect on their decision. If you don't get the job, it's because either you weren't right for it, or someone else was more qualified. Not because you forgot to sign a thank you note.

i agree with jmorge and ripcity - you can't do anything about this now, so don't sweat it :-)
