Question:
How can one find a job with lack of experience?

I was hoping for a full time administrative assistant . However, no matter where I go, all they want is experience even the agencies. I am working part time now, but this isn't the job I was looking for. I did work at a bank for only 6 months and it was a temp position. So, do I have to go back to school to make myself more marketable?

there are two ways to the top: education or hard work. Neither is a guarantee. The only guarantee is an education followed by hard work.

In the mean time, look around your company and find the person whose job you would really like to have. Talk to that person and ask them to mentor you. let the boss know that you are not afraid of hard work and welcome th opportunity to prove your value to the department/company. Learn everything you can about what your company does and how you can fill whatever needs you discover.

Good luck!

start as a receptionist and work your way up, thats what i did, i had no experience and then i just kept on asking for more responsibilities at my current jobs and i went to college for my BA.

Currently, i have my degree and im an office manager for an engineering office. Some agencies will be willing to work with you, but I hate agency work, try craiglist and get a receptionist position then once u are there ask for additional duties, be the 'team player' soon if you do a good job u'll be able to move up in the company.

go to a temp agency where they will place you in short-term jobs. generally, if you do well, the agency will continue sending you on assignments. you just need to build up your resume. be mindful that you will likely not be placed as an administrative assistant, but agree to take jobs as receptionists, file clerks.

Start at the bottom and work your way up....
