Adjustments made as an Administrative Assistant?

Question

I work as administrative assistant, and I have my “Performance Evaluation” coming up.

In the beginning of the year, I had to set objectives/goals that I need to meet. Now I have to write if I’ve met those goals. I’m not the best writer and I need help in the responses to the objectives below.

1st Objective was: To offer proactive support to the MD’s that I support. (How have I made adjustments to do so).

2nd Objective: To learn quickly all aspects to the job? (How I have accomplished that?)

3rd Objective: To work as a team player with the other covering administrative assistant and to cover in her absences. (I’m not sure how to answer that one, because the lead admin told me to put that in there.

Can you help me with responses?

Well, first off, these aren't very good objectives, so I feel for you to have to write a response to them. Try asking yourself what it was that prompted the objective.



1st Objective response: I have been proactively supporting the MD's by asking them ahead of time about work that needs to be done, rather than waiting for them to come to me.



2nd Objective response: I have learned to ...... and am consistently expanding my medical vocabulary. I have taken a course in ....



3rd Objective: I have successfully been working with the other admins in a team player atmosphere by backing her up with answering phones or taking requests.....



Also, try to remember that goals should be attainable and measurable, i.e. I will improve my personal skills in order to develop better relationships with my co-workers by enrolling in a seminar by March 1, 2008 or I will take an organizational and time management course to help me become more proactive in my work by May 31, 2008.
